Setting up a stage where only the Corps and large companies create content that is seen.

With the integration and advancement of Gemini, Google can answer your queries on its own, and Google will no longer be the middle person in the information exchange. This is a likely direction Google will strive for.

• This imitation learning approach removes the need for programming for each individual move the robot makes and brings robotic surgery closer to autonomy.

• The team used imitation learning to train the da Vinci Surgical System robot to perform three fundamental tasks required in surgical procedures: manipulating a needle, lifting body tissue, and suturing.

• By inputting hundreds of videos captured from wrist-mounted cameras on the arms of da Vinci robots during actual surgical procedures, the researchers provided a rich dataset for the robot to learn from.

• With nearly 7,000 da Vinci robots deployed worldwide and over 50,000 surgeons trained on the system, there exists an extensive archive of procedural data for robotic imitation.

The Motive:

Prior to this innovation, programming a robot to perform even a basic surgical task required meticulous coding of every single step—a process that could consume a decade to model complex actions like suturing, and even then, applicable to only one type of surgery.

This approach significantly reduces the time and effort needed to train surgical robots, marking a pivotal advancement in the quest for autonomous robotic surgery.
